Hannah Caldwell Intern Therapist
I am currently completing my practicum placement at New Horizon Counselling Services for my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program through Yorkville University. Prior to beginning my placement, I worked in a mental health clinical space for two years, after completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Alberta. My supervision is being overseen by Michelle Kardash, R.Psych.
My approach to counselling stems from a person-centered approach that utilizes cognitive behavioural strategies. These strategies can support individuals in understanding the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. My goal is to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented space to help individuals reach their goals.
At this time, I am working with youth who are 14-17 and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, as well as grief and loss.
For new clients, I kindly ask that you book a free consultation call prior to scheduling your first full session. This will give us an opportunity to discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have, and make sure I am the right fit for you!
I look forward to connecting with you.

Counselling Therapist
I am a Counselling Therapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I began my counselling career in January 2021, working with high school students, and my focus has been primarily on adolescents aged 13–18, supporting them through challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, and relationship issues.
Prior to counselling, I worked as a high school teacher, giving me extensive experience supporting youth academically, socially, and emotionally. My approach is client-centered, drawing on CBT, DBT-informed strategies, emotion regulation skills, and strengths-based techniques to help clients build confidence, coping strategies, and resilience.
Originally from Newfoundland, I moved to Fort McMurray in 2008. I live here with my husband and our beloved fur babies. I am passionate about creating a compassionate and empowering space where adolescents feel supported and encouraged to reach their goals and thrive.
